Goodbye My Friend, My Heart, My Namibia
Goodbye My Friend, My Heart, My Namibia
After two years in Rundu, Namibia, I will say goodbye to my little piece of Africa. Time seems to have a different meaning where the greetings and handshakes may last longer than my stateside lunch breaks and sunsets still take my breath away. I leave my site, Rundu, next week and my plane leaves at the end of the month to Salt Lake City, UT where I will receive a much needed hug from my parents.
I am now in the process of saying goodbye to my colleagues and people in my community. Despite the challenges and frustrations, my time here was magical surprising as the same people could make me laugh and cry in the same day. I am truly grateful for this experience and know that I will be back again one day. I am very excited to come home and catch up with the people that mean the most to me, you, my family and friends who supported and encouraged me through this time. Please continue to contact me and thank you again!

I can't believe it's been 2 years. I'm still so amazed by what you have done.
